About Us

Welcome to Cactus Corral

Cactus Corral is a magical cactus sanctuary in the heart of Sylmar, California, where nature’s beauty and a little rustic charm come together. Founded in 1951 by Ambrose Meyers and lovingly revived in 2018 by the Hernandez family, our ranch is a welcoming place for cactus lovers, artists, and anyone looking to slow down and soak in something special.

Take a walk with us through towering giants, tiny wonders, classic horseshoe sculptures, and even an old totem pole. Everywhere you look, there’s a story to uncover and a sense of history to feel. Whether you’re here to marvel at the desert beauty or bring a piece of it home, we hope you leave feeling as inspired as we do every day.

When you step into Cactus Corral, you’re stepping into a place where resilience and timeless elegance shine. Our collection includes striking columnar cacti like Tersechekii and Stenocereus, alongside an ever-growing army of unique Trichocereus crossbreeds. The luminous Blue Peru Argentinensis steals the show, while our all-time favorite, the Trichocereus Pachanoi Monstrose (TPM)—known as the Monstrose San Pedro—never fails to impress with its quirky shapes and personality.

But Cactus Corral isn’t just about the plants. It’s a space where rustic art, grazing horses, vintage treasures, and of course, an abundance of spines, come together to create a vibe like no other. We’ve worked hard to make this place feel like a home for the cacti and for the people who love them.

We love bringing folks together, whether for casual visits or special events like our upcoming Cactus Rodeo in March 2025. These gatherings are all about sharing our passion for cacti, connecting with others, and celebrating the natural beauty we all love.

Our mission is simple: to share the energy, history, and inspiration of this special space with the world. So come on by, take it slow, and let the cacti guide you into something magical. 🌵
